Annette Lewis
Manton Engineering
Managing Director
I was born of Welsh parents living in London, born in fact within the sound of Bow Bells, so I can claim to be a Cockney. Educated in Wales, both in the provinces where only Welsh was spoken in school, English at home, and later in Cardiff where Welsh was a language of choice at school.
I moved to St Neots, Cambs with my husband Brian and joined a small precision engineering company in Bedford. In 1993 one of the directors retired and I purchased his 50% share of the business. I am now the Managing Director and sole owner of the business
My interests include sailing and attending Morgan Motor Car Club events around the UK and overseas.
Through Rotary I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy sailing in many countries overseas.
I have been my local RNLI secretary for many years and was awarded the RNLI Silver Badge in 2001. I am also an Official Prison Visitor and am currently secretary of the Branch.
I enjoy Rotary very much particularly when helping those in need.
